K9 Aqua Ltd was established by Karynne Penfold in 2011.

Karynne obtained her Level 3 Certificates in Understanding Canine Cruciate & Patella Disease and Understanding Canine Elbow and Hip Dysplasia via long distance learning with Hawksmoor Hydrotherapy Centre in the UK.
Karynne then attended this world renowned rehabilitation centre in January 2012 and gained her ABC Nationally Accredited Level 3 Certificate in Hydrotherapy for Small Animals.

In 2015, Kathleen Reynolds joined K9 Aqua as a hydrotherapy assistant. A year later, Kathleen became a shareholder and has helped Karynne develop K9 Aqua into a therapy centre.

By purchasing a boarding kennel facility, we have expanded our services to include a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist (CCRT) USA certified canine massage therapist, chiropractic treatment and day care/boarding facilities for post-op patients, respite care and senior patients.

(L): Ewok, (M): Ruby, (R): Blue

Ewok and Ruby, my two German Shepherds, are sadly now at the Rainbow Bridge.

Early 2013, Karynne welcomed Jackson, a German Shepherd puppy, to the family. Jackson was diagnosed with hip dysplasia at a young age, his fitness and mobility is maintained by regular hydrotherapy and physical therapy sessions.

He joins Blue, a 11 1/2 yr old Beardie x Border Collie. Blue was a very enthusiastic competitor of agility, competing in the two highest levels, Intermediate and Senior. He has also gained his ADX title and competed in the mid level of Jumpers events.

Blue was retired at 6 yrs old due to a compressed spinal cord. In September 2017, Blue had his right forelimb amputated due to osteosarcoma, and is currently doing very well.

Karynne and Blue were also volunteers in the S.P.C.A Outreach Therapy Pet programme, having to withdraw due to Karynne’s commitment to K9 Aqua Ltd.
